You love them, deeply. They're the most amazing thing to ever happen to you
You build your life around them, through loving them something great will eventually happen, you believe
Everything you do, every thought, revolves around them
They’re the reason you make that first phone call in the morning, even with a sleepy voice you make it
The last phone call in the evening goes to them, even on bad days you can’t sleep without talking to them
When you see something bad by the side of the road, they’re the first to hear about it
When you hear something good, you can't wait to share it with them
Good news, bad news, those long and boring days, they hear about them all
Until they start complaining about a whole lot of things you don’t have solutions for
You make all those promises, hoping that will buy you some time
For a little while it looks like it worked, because everything seems to be ok
But they’re probably just preparing for that right moment to shatter your heart
You are aware of what’s coming, but you keep hoping that things might work out for the better
Again it looks like it will, because love conquers all, right
Until they wake up one day and decide that you are not good enough for them, leaving you with a broken heart to mend
You wake up and suddenly have no one to say good morning to
Even making that phone call doesn’t feel the same
The nights are also a little strange because you just get into bed and straight to sleep you go
Even though the thought about them keeps disrupting every little thing you do, you try to keep it together
You think about all the good intentions you had, all the wishes you couldn’t make them come true
All the blanks you couldn’t fill, and everything else you wish could have worked out differently
But nothing is the same as it used to be, because all you're left with is an empty space where they used to be
It’s all love, one moment it’s a beautiful rose in your cappuccino
All glamorous, caring, and kind
Until nothing is the same as it used to be
