The Government is trying

Some years ago, I had an idea I wanted to sell as it looked almost impossible for me to implement it by myself, but I didn’t know where to go and what made matters worse is, nobody takes you seriously when you have nothing to put on the table, except your head with your ideas. I sat with it at home until years later when I saw it slowly coming into the market which proved to me that it was too late for me to do anything about it.
I blame myself for not doing enough to get it somewhere, but I blame lack of information more because it forced me to abandon it. As years keep passing by I realize I’m not the only one who got badly affected by lack of information, I meet people who went through the worst situations because of that. We just don’t know sometimes, as a result, we end up blaming everything that moves, but sometimes it all lies in us. We just don’t do enough to get what we want
Today I was fed information for more than six hours, got exposed to things I was not even aware of. They even filled my stomach with a very nice meal, all for free. I even realized that if I had searched enough, “my idea” would have been implemented somewhere with all the credit coming to me. As a result, as of today, I won’t nag about dysfunctional of the government, I won’t even listen to someone who does unless they have a valid reason to because I realized the government is really trying, maybe, just maybe, we don’t meet them halfway. But if you still have something to, I’ll strongly suggest you take a step outside your house, seek information, understand what each government department/agency is doing and see if you’ll use the same words you use now to describe them
Apparently, there’s a place where they meet every Wednesday at 10:00 am. “75 Fox Street, Jhb” to be specific. It’s all/most government agencies under one roof, empowering you with information, where to go to get the information you need to wake the entrepreneur in you, what to do to get the help you need, what each agency do to help/role it plays, etc. You should meet up with them and see if your life won’t change for the better. The great thing about that is, it’s all free of charge.
