The world is moving so fast, everything changes as every day pass by
What it was yesterday is not guaranteed to be what it is today when tomorrow comes
Sometimes I sit down watching from real live screening shows to real-life stories happening in front of my eyes
Wondering how everything got to this point, how I can make changes of my own
But I feel like I don't stand a chance, everything is way ahead of me to catch it
Everyone so intelligent to initiate a conversation with
But understanding my abilities, I feel like I can do it
I feel like I'm wrong to think I can't make the change
To let myself feel overwhelmed by life-changing circumstances
I feel like I can grab the sky and keep it in my backroom
Squeeze the moon to shine only in my back yard to prolong my day when time leaves me behind
Pull the stars closer to bring hope to the hopeless
Melts the mountain tops for easy access to those dreamers who never give up even when it’s pointless to try
Make money disappear to create a conducive environment full of love
To warm the hearts of those broken souls
Restore humanity to salvage the lives that slowly turning into vultures
I feel like I can create a world where everyone will appreciate who they are
Instead of trying to be somebody else
Create a planet where we can be free to be who we are without being judged
Our abilities made a topic for a day when they braai in their back yards
Where we will not compete with anyone but ourselves
Our struggle will be diminished, we won't have to beg for a living
Happiness will find a greater ability to erase all our sorrows
From the years of slavery to the years of greedy politicians
Where babies will be babies, boys and young girls allowed to act their age
Man and woman tolerating each other
I feel like I can be a special leader to end civil wars in all African countries
Transform the minds to choose wisely, make only great decisions
Even when they use Jesus name to fool us
Hold the sun, delaying the sunset for me and fellow hustlers to do what we do best a little longer
Drag the moon a little closer when the sun eventually goes to sleep to brighten the way for peacekeepers at night
Hold the time for those who are still sleeping to open their eyes
Through experience, we can tell them with our eyes closed that the world is spinning
But we can’t force them to open their eyes to realize that while time is still on their side
Until they choose to do so themselves
“It’s all about one day at a time, one day at a time”
