Sometimes when you open your window, you see the sun rays shining so bright
Sometimes you see people walking up and down the streets, with smiles on their faces
But sometimes you open the window and see the clouds dancing sideways when you look up to the sky
You feel the cold front into your room dropping the temperatures
But sometimes you just see the darkness and sadness, nothing amusing
That’s life, you don’t always see what you expected to, what you want to see
Some days are colder than the others, but something beautiful always pops up at some point

You probably look like a 25 year old, but in the inside, you feel like a 45 year old
Reality is, you’re only 20 years old. But life got the worst of you
It took you to Marabastad for so many times you forgot how it feels to be you
How it feels to be a child, because of all the responsibilities that lie on your shoulders

I know sometimes you wish you could jump to the reset button, make it all go away
You think starting all over would be better, much different
But you’ve got to hang in there. It can’t be that bad

I know you cry at night, when the pain won’t go away
You wish it never happened, life never took them away from you
Others say mommy/daddy, you only have yourself to count on
Hang in there, better days are coming

Maybe the end of the world for you is just a walking distance, a walk in the park
Because you don’t seem to get everything right, any of the things you do right
You’ve given up on life, because it’s not worth it, you say
Hang in there, there’s probably more good things to come than bad

You watch them come and go
Rise in front of you, all the way to the top
But you’re always stuck right at the beginning, when you are lucky to make there
You’ve got to hang in there still, your turn will come eventually

It always rain at some point, everything becomes beautiful
Whatever you see now, today, might not be what it is tomorrow
Be patient, be persistent and always hope for the better

Life changes, time moves on, difficult situations become easier
Impossible becomes possible, hate change to admiration
But you need to look out there with an open mind
Look at the possibilities around you

Hold on, before you end it all, think thoroughly
You made it this far, there’s got to be another way
Hang in there, it really can’t be that bad
