Don’t stop working hard because you got what you wanted

I was so impressed to hear that you once addressed Mozambicans in Portugues in their own country. You blended so well as if you were one of them. that made realize the struggle breaks only those who allowed it to, but to the rest, it exposes their true colors. So many have died because of it, but a genius in you was born probably because of it.
You fought for a very long time without giving up. You fought the apartheid system, for the chair on top of everyone in the country. All the scandals only you know the truth behind them, you fought them all. I’m not saying you were innocent, or guilty because that’s not my place to judge, but you know the truth behind it all. I must say the amount of energy you put in trying to save yourself, the work you've done making sure you get where you are is tremendous. Somehow I thought you'll channel that to better the ones you succeeded in that position. But you got into power and you decided to take a break. First-term, second term or disappointment term as one might say. You chose to mess with the minds of those who put their trust in you including me. Like everybody else, you stopped working hard, probably because you got what you wanted, A point to prove, “a boy from rural areas to president”

The entire world knows you very well, even when you are quiet they talk on your behalf. You are a genius, everybody can tell only by watching your eyes blink. You are fearless, everybody can tell from the moment you start talking. You were the hero, everybody admired your philosophical mind. But I’m starting to think you're now a villain, only a few admires you still. It's always best to take a step aside while you still have all the respect you deserve. Mandela is an example, but you took a break instead. You stopped working hard, probably because you got what you wanted, a point to prove

I understand the world caught up with you, it's probably not your fault that you find yourself where you are. But that doesn't give you the right to turn your back from all those who stood by you. It doesn’t give you the right to hide away from those who are still expecting you to feed them with your wise words, help them complete what they started.
You changed the world through your music, made everyone believe they can make it to the top through the stories you shared. You taught us that where you come from should only be a courage to steer to where you wanna be, than an excuse to comfort yourself whenever you find it hard to move on. But you just stopped working hard, probably because you got what you wanted, “fame”, leaving us all hanging, waiting for you to inspire us further

Somehow I thought we'll stop mentioning Brenda Fassie and other great musicians on every list we compile for the festive season. We'll give them a break whenever we count those who had a power to get the country dancing whenever they release an album.
You got us all praising your name while confusing your surname to “Loliwe” You got everybody singing your songs lyric by lyric. But you just left everyone hanging, waiting for more. Will you rise again? Only time will tell because you said it yourself “Impil’ Inzima” Did you stop working hard like everybody else? Probably got the fame, what you wanted. Only you can answer that, the only one who knows the real truth.

You once made us proud, gave us reasons to celebrate week in and week out. Happy people, we were famously known. Doubles and trebles, you won them all. But not anymore, instead you collect all the heavy defeats in the league. Are these half dozens we have seen as of late gonna be a thing of the past or we should expect more? Are these embarrassments we find ourselves drowning in gonna form part of our lives moving forward? Should we prepare ourselves for more or you’ll soon stand up and defend us from all the laughter we are subject to? Did you all stop working hard because you got what you wanted? To play for a big and very old club with a much respected badge and rich history?

Our emotions are always a factor. We ignore the facts because of what we see and experience every day. If they dine together privately, why should we believe them when they fight in public? How do we know if it's not all part of the plan? Take your eyes off the wall, let no politician play with your mind
Musicians, soccer players, students, leaders, parents, company owners, job seekers to employees, don’t stop working hard because you got what you wanted. Work even harder to make it better day by day, to maintain it. We all have a role to play to give living a meaning. Be the difference you want to see in the whole world. Don’t you dare stop working hard because you got what you wanted, work even harder to improve it, to make it stronger every day
