How we met was, just how we met
No definition for it, except a very short moment in the past
But it felt like forever, because every second of it paved the way for the future to be what it is
It created stories that will never be erased, remain unchanged yet incomplete
Because you started it, but simply left halfway through with no explanation
But we will meet again
Maybe some quiet Sunday afternoon walking down the street
Or sitting under a big tree enjoying the shade on a hot sunny day
Or even feeling miserable in the rain with nowhere to hide
But we will meet again
Maybe in a taxi, on a train, an unplanned visit to your office
Or just in a long boring queue to the bank
Maybe we will bump into each other in town, in a supermarket somewhere
Or maybe a simple phone call will connect us, making it all possible
But I know we will meet again
I don’t know where or when, why or how exactly
But, we will meet again
It might be a while before our paths cross
A day or two, maybe a month
Or a very long time making you forget we still stand a slight chance to meet again
There’s still a possibility to see each other in this lifetime
But I do know for sure, we will meet again
I’ll probably stand in front of you, looking at your face, admiring your beauty
What was once the reason I was crazy about you, madly in love with you
We will hold hands standing so close to each other, I mean chest to chest
Or maybe we will talk non-stop, catching up, trying to make up for all the lost time
But we will meet again
Maybe I’ll become clueless what to say to you mumble all the words with no sound coming out of my mouth
Or maybe I will just be amazed to realize how bad the world has caught up with you
The ugliness of an aging woman has replaced the lovely soul of a beautiful young lady I once fell in love with
Everything that once drove me insane is no more
But we will meet again
Maybe you will get mad at me, express all the emotions you never had a chance to reveal
Or just endless arguments possible about how you didn’t want to see me again
Or you’ll just be grateful we met
But through it all, we will meet again
We w-ill meet again
