Today I took a decision that I’m never gonna answer the door again when I hear a knock.
For the past few weeks I’ve noticed an increase in the number of people who knocks on our doors inviting us to church. It happens during the course of the year, but it's just few people once in a while. But that has changed so much that you hear a knock on your door every second day to find someone inviting you to their change. I can't even keep up with all these names because they are so many and long. Even worse, you can’t even say no because they will keep talking and asking all these unnecessary questions. You can’t even argue with them also because they’ll either take even more of your time trying to explain or simply label you as possessed by an evil spirit
They all go the same way as if they’re coming from the same place, first, introduce themselves and followed by, “Do you know Jesus Christ”. The last ones even prayed in front of my door because I didn’t have a reason to let them in. I just wanted them to leave so I can carry on with the action movie that I was watching at the time
I had to lie to the other one that somebody else bit them to it. He was just here and I feel bad that I lied to Jesus kid, that’s why I won’t answer my door again so that I don’t find myself in that position again. I won’t have to explain myself why I don’t go to church or pretend to have accepted their invitation. I won’t have to explain that this whole inviting to church thing is starting to feel more like a scam. Why are they coming in numbers now, where were they the whole year? Or “It’s festive now, so let's invite them because more people in the church means more offerings and that means more money for us” I don’t have bonus, they must look elsewhere
I wont answer my door again when I hear someone knocks. Nobody shows up at my place without a call any way. I’m sorry in advance to everyone who will be affected by that because I’m protecting my conscious
If you’re a neighbor looking for help, I’m sorry, I won’t answer the door. If you have a small talk, try somewhere else because I won’t answer the door. If you wanna tell me about the gate or whatever happened when I was not around, try somebody else because I simply won’t answer the door
I just can’t stand another Jesus's 157th disciple in 2023 inviting me to church. I know Jesus Christ and I took a break from my church because I don’t wanna feel like a bad man for having so many questions about him, the people who are madly in love with him and all these churches that pops up everywhere like mushrooms after the rain
