They say, if you give a man a fish
You feed him for a day
But if you teach a man how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime
But life is so hard these days that giving a man a skill alone isn’t enough
You need to buy him a fishing rod, probably show him rich waters too
Only then you have fed him for a lifetime
Because if you don’t go that far, he'll sit at home with the skill you taught him with no way to put it to good use

I hear a lot of people saying, referring to the job adverts that are usually shared across the platforms “Instead of only telling people to apply, give them your connections as well” It’s actually funny, but I can't help to notice the truth behind that.

It's good that we all share the information that’s out there, but what's even better is to give them the information that is not out there for everyone, like how you got in, what did you do to get that, what's the easiest way to acquire what you have. At least leave us at the door, only then we can say you’ve played your part.

Things have changed, the little people did to assist one another many moons ago is no longer enough these days.

Finding a job with an ID only was possible ages ago, but these days your 10 pages long CV isn't enough, that’s where that hidden information is needed, share it
