Life doesn’t offer full packages

One happy afternoon, somewhere in Kuvukiland, the Master gave his three servants talents. The first man was given a massive five talents, the other one was given two and the other one was only given one talent.
The man who was given one talent feared that he might lose it and have nothing to give back when his master comes back to collect them, he then decided to bury it in a garden where no thieves will see and steal it. He only thought that much and actually believed that was the best thing to do. I don’t blame him because his mindset only went that far and with crime rate so high I probably would have done the same.
The man who was given two talents had a very busy time trying to increase the number of his talents. He never settled for what he had but did more to gain two more talents.
The man with five talents never sat down too, bragging about the number of talents he had, or questioning his master, why he gave him so many talents while others had less. But he spent hours developing more talents working with what he was given, he had sleepless nights because his aim was, when the Master comes back, he must find him with more than he had given to him.
Fortunately, that day where you have to evaluate yourself, your actions, your behavior and everything you are, comes eventually. Sometimes when you are not expecting it, sometimes it finds you ready and waiting for it, but it always come, either way, ready or not.
And it did just that for those three servants, the Master came back to request what he gave them. The man with five talents was the first to present the amazing job he has done. I quote, “you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more”
The man with two talents was the second on the line to present. He had developed two more which made his talent four from the two he was given.
The man with one talent was the last one to present his. I quote, “I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here what belongs to you”
The Master, disappointedly lashed out at him saying “You wicked, lazy servant, you should have deposited the talent with the bankers, so that when I return I would have received it back with interests”
The talent was taken away from him because he had no use for it. That just proves that what you think is right, might be wrong, so whatever you have, make good use of it. Don’t just sit on it because it might be taken away from you.
To my understanding, life doesn’t offer full packages, only rare and scattered opportunities that require you to work on them to fill the gap life left open for you. It gives you an opportunity to live, but never shows you your purpose, you need to find it. It gives you a job but never a complete satisfaction or the exact job you want, you need to fix something to make it suit your needs and match your lifestyle
But at the end of the day, you always get what you want, just the timing isn’t always perfect for you. You either get it early while you still not expecting it or very late when you’ve given up on it making you appreciate it a little less and rarely get it on time when you really want it.
Be patient, work hard and always give everything you do your best shot without taking anything for granted or appreciating any less of everything you already have
“Always start from the very beginning, it’s a very good place to start on” and before you ask for too much, focus on what you have, your raw talent because too much, might just turn to be just that, too much to handle, too much to live with, too much to bare. Don’t let your talent get rotten underground, get taken away from you because you have no use for it.
